Tom Feidt has spent his entire career in the insurance field. After attending University at Buffalo, he was hired by Continental Insurance Company in 1959 where he served in many underwriting and marketing positions.
He joined Jacob Hauck Agency in 1971 where he later became a partner, eventually President, and now Chairman of the firm. He earned a CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter) designation in 1976 and an ARM (Associate Risk Management) in 1979.
Tom has been active as a member, officer, and director of many insurance organizations, including the Buffalo Chapter of the CPCU, Professional Insurance Agents of New York State, Independent Insurance Agents, and Insurance Club of Buffalo. He has always felt strongly about "giving back to the business."
In 1974, Tom secured an endorsement from the Eighth District Dental Society to become their exclusive insurance agent and Jacob Hauck Agency is still endorsed by them today. This led to an exclusive appointment from OMSNIC (Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery National Insurance Company) in 1988 to market professional liability insurance to oral surgeons in Upstate New York.
Tom resides in Orchard Park with his wife Martha. He still enjoys snow skiing and golf. They have three children and five grandchildren, including two sets of twins.
