Mike Godshaw joined Walsh Duffield Companies, Inc. in 1998, but his career in insurance began in 1973, in partnership with his father, Hal, at Godshaw Agency. While he continues to serve his personal and commercial insurance clients, Mike also currently directs our Individual Benefits Division. This specialty division concentrates on personal financial and estate planning, as well as business key person, perpetuation needs, and executive benefits. The division, which includes Mike’s son, Richard Godshaw, works with over 40 insurance companies to offer life, disability, annuities, and long term care insurance.
A Buffalo native, Mike graduated from Kenmore West High School in 1967 and St. Lawrence University in 1971. His professional credentials include both the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designations. He is past President of the Buffalo Chapter of the Society of Financial Service Professionals, past President of the Financial Planning Counselors of WNY, and a member of the Estate Analysts of WNY.
